My Background
My name is Sawako Higuchi. I was born and raised in Japan. I spent most of my adult life in Canada, where I currently reside. I am a self-taught painter. My life work is to help maintain peace and harmony in this world with child like perspectives.
My Art
A majority of my work is acrylic painting on canvas. My art is a portal to the beauty of nature with its creatures including people. It is my creation of the world as I see and experience it. I like to share my world with anyone who appreciate it.
My Studio
I live in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. I like to maintain the peaceful and harmonious environment with minimal and essential materials. It is the art of surfing among the chaotic dynamic energy of life.
